2020.05.08 Wicker Park office painting

New advertising company  office building  painting.  Job location Wicker Park near Damen Ave , Milwaukee Ave  and North Ave intersection.  

Chicago Painters  refurbished the office in late April 2020.   The whole project took a week.  

• Approximate office size 3000 sqft.
• Preparation included:
  • Cover all floors with painters drop cloths,
  • tape and cover with plastic all windows (vintage trims),
  • remove all peeling paint, tapes and other compound,
  • prime damaged areas with il-based primer,
  • repair plaster damages  – apply mesh tape on the stress cracks, patch all damaged areas with Durabond compound (one coat) and EasySand 45 (two coats), sand and prime.
  • caulk all gaps and holes in  painted baseboards.
•  Ceilings: paint two coats of Sherwin Williams flat DryFall paint.
• Walls and white baseboards: paint two coats of Benjamin Moore Scuff-X matte paint.
